📖 Travel Diary

Peru felt mysterious from the moment I arrived. The mountains, old ruins and ancient stories made the country feel magical.

I visited Cusco first, a city full of history and culture. Walking through the streets felt like traveling back in time.

Later, I traveled to Machu Picchu high in the Andes Mountains. Seeing the ancient city hidden between the clouds was unforgettable.

One evening, I watched the sunset over the mountains while hearing traditional music nearby. It was one of the most special moments of my journey.

Machu Picchu – An ancient Inca citadel high in the Andes Mountains, known for its incredible stone architecture and breathtaking views. It is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
Cusco – A historic city that once served as the capital of the Inca Empire, featuring a blend of Inca ruins and Spanish colonial architecture.
Rainbow Mountain – A colorful mountain in the Andes famous for its natural stripes of red, yellow, and turquoise minerals created by geological processes.
Lake Titicaca – The highest navigable lake in the world, located on the border of Peru and Bolivia, known for its floating reed islands and Indigenous communities.

📜 Historical Facts

Home of the Inca Empire – Peru was the center of the powerful Inca civilization, which built advanced cities, roads, and agricultural systems across the Andes.
Spanish conquest began in the 1500s – The Inca Empire fell after Spanish arrival, leading to centuries of colonial rule.
Machu Picchu was rediscovered in 1911 – The site was brought to global attention by explorer Hiram Bingham, though it was never truly “lost” to local communities.
Ancient civilizations existed before the Incas – Cultures such as the Nazca and Moche thrived long before the rise of the Inca Empire.
